Jackson County Schools released a re-entry plan for the coming school year. They’re opening Sept. 8 with in-person instruction for students with the last names beginning with A-D and E-K. On Wednesday, Sept. 9, students with the last names L-R and S-Z will attend school in-person. The students are split into the four groups based on last name and will attend school at different times on those two days to learn the various safety protocols. On Thursday, Sept. 10, all students in grades 1-12 will attend school. Students and staff for grades 3-12 will be required to wear face masks or coverings inside buildings. The plan hinges upon COVID-19 conditions, and they’ll continue to monitor.
