While its main location gets a $24 million renovation, the Kanawha County Public Library has temporarily relocated and officially opened in the Charleston Town Center. The renovation includes an enlarged children’s floor, study rooms, meeting spaces, new technology and a covered walkway attached to the Summers Street parking garage in downtown Charleston. Now that the library has opened in its temporary location in the mall, its hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and is closed on Sunday. The library’s location is on the second floor near Talbots.
