With the start of school looming, there are talks of teachers going on strike across the country over re-entry plans. The American Federation of Teachers said it would support any local chapter that decides to strike. While several counties in West Virginia have unveiled their re-entry plans, Kanawha hasn’t yet. School is scheduled to start Sept. 8. In the last three years, West Virginia teachers have gone on strike twice demanding pay raises and protesting charter schools.
