Water is Back On in Gary

The entire town of Gary was without running water for a week, and though their water is now back, there are still issues. WCHS TV reported the pump stopped working due to old age, but water came back on Tuesday night after crews fixed it. There’s one working pump at the Grape Vine pump station now and the other is leaking. The city is anticipating a grant worth $13.5 million for their sewer system. A pump will cost about $30,000. The city is looking at quotes, hoping to get more pumps from the same company they got their new one from. They’re hoping to have orders placed within the next 30 days.
