A College and Hospital Announce a Collaboration

The owner of a former West Virginia hospital is teaming up with a local college on efforts to repurpose unused parts of the facility to train health care professionals. Bluefield State College and Princeton Community Hospital will explore opportunities at the former Bluefield Regional Medical Center. While the former Bluefield hospital is closed to inpatient services, Princeton Community Hospital continues to operate an emergency department there. The collaboration is aimed at using other space at the hospital to train high-demand health care professionals.
