Thousands of people in Jackson County will benefit from a new project that replaced an old dam that failed. The Mill Creek dam in Ripley is nearing completion and will supply water to the Ripley Water Treatment Plant. The old dam failed in April 2019, and the new one has gone up just downstream. Crews will work on removing the old dam and more debris after the new dam is completed. Federal grants funded the project.
