A woman is recovering after a shooting Wednesday morning on the East End. Just after 3 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a shooting near 7-Eleven on Washington Street East. Dai’ana Dickerson of Charleston, was shot in the leg. Police said people were arguing inside the store and then continued to argue in the parking lot. The suspect got into a grey Toyota Highlander and fired several gunshots at the victim as they were leaving. The Toyota Highlander crashed into a McDonald’s sign and the suspect left the vehicle and fled on foot, according to police. Dickerson was taken to the hospital and was treated and released.
