Airlines Take Extra Precautions to Keep Travelers Safe

Several major U.S. airlines have launched programs to test passengers for COVID-19 before they travel, another in a series of steps to make passengers feel safer about flying during a pandemic. Last week, United Airlines rolled out a new rapid-testing program for passengers leaving the San Francisco International Airport en route to Hawaii. A negative test result allows passengers to skip Hawaii’s 14-day quarantine requirement and travel more freely. Other measures will be in place for those planning to fly over the holidays.
