Charleston police are recruiting candidates for the force. Physical ability and written tests will be given on two Saturdays – 8 a.m. Nov. 7 and Nov. 21 at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center. Starting pay after graduating from the academy is $41,244 per year. Applications are posted online now, and there is more on the Charleston Police Department’s Facebook page.
