The trial for man accused of brutally killing an elderly woman and trying to kill a Charleston police officer has been pushed back until next month. In February, Joshua Drennen was indicted on charges related to the death of Barbara Steele on Charleston’s West Side. On Monday, Drennen’s attorney, John Sullivan, requested a continuance in the case because a criminal responsibility evaluation was not complete. Drennen’s trial has now been set for Nov. 16 at 9 a.m.
