Doddridge remained in the red for the second straight day on the West Virginia county alert system map, while Kanawha, Putnam and Cabell were all in yellow. The DHHR map showed five counties in orange in the latest map – Mingo, Randolph, Marshall, Morgan and Berkeley. The key map is released at 5 p.m. Saturday by the state Department of Education and determines whether counties the following week can have in-person classes and play in sports competitions.
