Homeowner Sees Attempted Burglary on Video Surveillance

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that a breaking and entering suspect has been arrested after a homeowner held him at gunpoint until deputies arrived. It happened about 11:30 a.m. Monday at Newhouse Branch Road in the Elkview area. The homeowner used surveillance video to see someone snooping around the property, and he drove from work to home. Sheriff Mike Rutherford said the homeowner arrived to find the defendant had broken a locked porch door and was attempting to enter the home from the porch. The homeowner held Henry Stuck at gunpoint and called 911.
