A man who recently pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter for his missing wife’s death has been sentenced to three years in prison. Owen Woods was initially charged with first-degree murder for the death of his wife, Starina Woods who has been missing since 2016 and her body has never been found. Last week, Woods pleaded guilty to the lesser charge but took a Kennedy plea in the case, which meant he did not have to admit guilt but contends the state has enough evidence to convict him if the case went to trial. Woods did not make a statement before his sentencing.
