The Chemical Safety Board, EPA and OSHA are investigating a deadly chemical explosion in Belle earlier this week. A Hurricane man was killed, and it forced a shelter in place order for two-miles around the plant. The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s Division of Air Quality says the impact was minimal. Based on readings eight miles away in Charleston, the explosion didn’t change air quality in the area.
