Governor Justice is asking hospitals to cut back on elective surgeries to free up hospital space as COVID-19 numbers continue to climb. There are nearly six-hundred patients in the hospital with COVID-19, and over one-hundred-sixty are in ICU.
Charleston Area Medical Center is reducing its elective procedures by fifty-percent. Thomas Health says it’s monitoring the situation, but is not canceling any procedures.
