Moderna and Pfizer Vaccines Both Arrive in West Virginia

Governor Jim Justice said this week that West Virginia leads the nation in the number of people vaccinated against COVID-19. The Moderna vaccine arrived in West Virginia on Monday with more than 44,000 doses, according to the governor. As of Monday, West Virginia had administered 15,135 doses of the 16,575 doses the state has received so far, more than 90 percent. The state expects to have the entire long-term care community vaccinated by December 28th. Healthcare workers are also among those to be vaccinated before the general population early next year.
