An investigation in Nicholas County led to several residents being charged with numerous hunting violations, including spotlighting, in the weeks leading up to buck firearms season. West Virginia Natural Resources Police said in a Facebook post that two trophy-size, 10-point bucks were confiscated as a result of one of the complaints. In addition to spotlighting, the residents were charged with hunting without a license, hunting from motor vehicles, hunting without permission and illegal possession of wildlife. Buck firearms season closed Sunday, Dec. 6.
