Marshall’s football matchup Friday with Charlotte in Huntington has been canceled because of injuries and a lack of available scholarship student-athletes at key positions for the Thundering Herd. The school said a small number of COVID-19 issues also affected the situation. This was a game that was arranged after Marshall’s game with FIU was canceled. The Marshall-Charlotte matchup had been expected to have C-USA Football Championship implications. The conference championship is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m.
