A longtime community leader and mayor in the Kanawha valley has died. Damron Bradshaw served the community for 45 years – including 24 years as the mayor of Chesapeake. The Kanawha County Commission said Bradshaw was a legend in the eastern part of the county because of his unwavering dedication to his community. He served at Camp Virgil Tate and Yeager Airport. He also served as a longtime member of the Kanawha County Regional Development Authority.
