Cabell County Schools Announce Plans For the Spring Semester

The Cabell County Board of Education voted this week to stay in the blended model until all school employees who want to be vaccinated get both doses.
The decision came after a two-hour public comment period where parents, teachers, service personnel and even students spoke out. On “Week A,” students with last names beginning with A-K will have in-person learning Monday-Wednesday and remote learning Thursday-Friday. “Week B” is the reverse of that. High schools will remain in remote learning if the county is in red on map. So far, Cabell County Schools has vaccinated 440 employees and plan to do 500 this week. There will be another board meeting to vote on five days of in-person learning.
