Funeral arrangements have been announced for a veteran Kanawha County judge.
Circuit Court Judge Charles King died Dec. 28 at the age of 73 after a long illness.
King’s obituary said all family members and close friends are invited to attend the funeral service for King at 12 p.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 6), at Courtroom 4 on the second floor of the Kanawha County Courthouse on Virginia Street East in Charleston. The event also will be streamed on the Kanawha County Commission Facebook page. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens in Cross Lanes with military honors. King was a graduate of West Virginia University and had more than 47 years of public service. He was elected as a judge in 1988.
