Governor Justice appointed Joshua Booth of Kenova to fill the 19th District seat that was left vacant when former Delegate Derrick Evans resigned after his involvement in riots at the U.S. Capitol. Booth was not on the original list sent to the governor by the Wayne County GOP. The county GOP is challenging the process Justice used to fill the seat.
