Kanawha State Forest Upgrades Trails and Campgrounds

As the weather warms up and you’re looking for things to do outside, you might notice upgrades at Kanawha State Forest. There are sixty miles of trails and many have been improved so they’re more user friendly for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The Salamander Trail is self-guided and it’s wheelchair and handicap accessible. The new gift shop opened last summer, and a nature center is planned to be educational for kids. Campground improvements at Kanawha State Forest are also in the works.
