West Virginia Division of Highways officials are reminding drivers to stay off their phones and be alert as road work resumes near the Nitro-St. Albans bridge. Crews are working on the bridge, also known as the Donald M. Legg Memorial Bridge. Workers will be clearing vegetation, installing erosion and soil control measures and preparing the site for future work. The work is part of the Interstate 64 widening project between Charleston and Huntington. Drivers should also be aware that work is scheduled to begin on the eastbound exit ramp, which will include a temporary pipe and fill along the side of the roadway.
