The Boone County sheriff’s office got a new X-Ray machine donated by the US Postal Inspection Service. Sheriff Chad Barker said they will use it to scan suspicious packages. The X-Ray machine scans packages and an image of the contents pops up a computer nearby. The sheriff’s office hopes it saves time in potentially dangerous situations.
