West Virginia’s Alcohol Beverage Control Administration commissioner suspended the license of a Charleston pub and ordered it to immediately close after receiving complaints about overcrowding and COVID-19 violations. The Pint Pub at 808 Kanawha Blvd. E. violated Gov. Jim Justice’s executive orders and guidelines. It was investigated after complaints about going over 50 percent capacity. The sign on the front of the business identifies it as the Copper Pint Irish Pub and it’s known as the Pint Pub on state records. The order said the owner could submit an explanation letter and an improvement plan before March 2 and possibly reopen on March 7.
