West Virginia American Water said it now owns the town of East Bank’s water distribution system after completing its acquisition. The East Bank system will operate as part of West Virginia American Water’s Kanawha Valley system. All customers previously served by the town of East Bank are now American Water customers and will see increases on their water bills as rates will increase annually until Feb. 3, 2023, according to a news release from West Virginia American Water.
The increase amounts to about $4.50 per month. East Bank served about 395 customers along Route 61 in Kanawha County.
