Some West Virginia homes and businesses that have been without power for more than a week aren’t expected to have their service restored until tomorrow. Appalachian Power said about 48,000 customers remained without electricity Friday, including 33% of Cabell county’s total customers. There were also major outages in Wayne County after three of four substations were knocked out of service. Service should be restored to most customers by today in Jackson, Lincoln, Mason and Putnam counties, and by Tuesday in Cabell and Wayne counties.
