A Fayette County couple is behind bars after deputies say their 2 year old was found wandering down the middle of a busy highway. Stephen C. Coiner and Tiffany D. Angel each face a child neglect charge, according to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies received a call from someone reporting a child was walking down the middle of Route 60 in Boomer. The child was rescued by the caller. Deputies and Child Protective Services workers went door-to-door looking for the parents, and once Coiner and Angel were found to be the parents, they reportedly showed little concern. Deputies say their home was in poor condition and there was drug paraphernalia in sight. The couple was taken into custody and are being held at the Southern Regional Jail.
