A 9mm handgun along with a gun magazine loaded with 15 bullets was found Sunday among a man’s carry-on items at the security checkpoint at Yeager Airport. It’s the first gun found at Yeager this year, according to the Transportation Security Administration. The man from Florida was stopped by TSA officers and Yeager Airport Police confiscated the gun. The man faces a federal financial civil penalty for bringing a gun to an airport checkpoint. In 2020, four guns were caught at the security checkpoint at Yeager.
