Logan County deputies said a man who became belligerent and threatened emergency room staff members at Logan Regional Medical Center faces multiple charges. Austin Murphy was taken into custody after an incident Sunday at the hospital, according to a news release from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office. Hospital security detained Murphy and he was combative when deputies arrived. The sheriff’s office said Murphy told the officer he had been taking meth. Murphy is charged with obstructing an officer, disorderly conduct and assault on health care workers.
