Mylissa Smith’s Law Moves Forward

The West Virginia House of Delegates passed the bill known as Mylissa Smith’s Law and the bill now goes to the Senate Health and Human Resources Committee. If the full Senate passes the bill, it would mean people who are hospitalized during a pandemic could have visitors. The bill is named in honor of hospice nurse, Mylissa Smith, who died from COVID-19 and had no visitation for more than a month.
