South Charleston is taking matters into its own hands and installing a fiber optic network to improve internet speed and reliability. The goal is to have fiber in front of every house in the city, and then it will be leased to internet providers like Frontier and Suddenlink. The project will take two or three years to complete and cost around six-million-dollars.
