Cabell County Vaccination Clinic May Reduce Hours and Staff

Cabell County Emergency Medical Services administered COVID-19 vaccines again this week at St. Mary’s Center for Education in Huntington. Weeks ago, the typical turnout on a Wednesday would be close to 1,000. WCHS TV reported that now a good day is closer to 300. EMTs and paramedics give out the shots Wednesday through Friday for eight hours rain or shine. If the low turnout continues to be a weekly trend, because they have to pay staff, they may reevaluate how often the clinics occur. Cabell EMS will continue to provide vaccinations Wednesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Center for Education at least until the end of the month. No appointment is necessary.
