Beginning May 7, Charleston is bringing back Food Truck Fridays and they’ll be bigger than before. Kanawha Boulevard will be closed from Capitol Street to Court Street each Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. To operate in Charleston city limits, food truck owners have to submit a plan review to the health department and apply for a food permit. They need to present a certificate of insurance and register with the city collector’s office and pass inspection with the fire department.
