New Law Allows for Alcohol To Go

Bars and restaurants in West Virginia will soon be able to offer curbside, to-go and delivery options for alcohol after recent legislation passed by lawmakers.
House Bill 2025 allows for home delivery from bars and restaurants as well as curbside and carry-out cocktails that accompany a food purchase. Wine, cider and cocktail growlers will be available for home delivery, and the same applies to third party delivery services like Grubhub and DoorDash. The bill will officially go into effect on May 10. Breweries can also now directly ship beer to a local distributor for pickup.
