Vandalia Gathering Is Altered For the Second Year In A Row

There will be no traditional three-day Vandalia Gathering this year, but there will be a special afternoon concert instead at the West Virginia Capitol. West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History will host the event from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 29, on the north steps of the state Capitol. The concert will be free and streamed live. The Vandalia Gather is a celebration of the traditional arts, music, dance, stories, crafts and food of West Virginia that traditionally has been held at the Capitol during the Memorial Day weekend. It also was postponed in 2020.
