Races are back for the first time in eight years at West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells. The dirt track thrived in the 1990s but closed in 2013 after attendance slacked off. Owners made improvements to the track to get prepared for the reopening. The track has a goal to add NASCAR sanctioned events, motocross events, and monster truck shows to continue to draw visitors.
