Charleston Man Faces Charges for Allegedly Shaking a Baby

Charleston police said a man has been charged after he was accused of shaking a 2-month-old infant and causing it to develop brain bleeding and lifelong injuries. Darnay Mosby of Charleston was charged with child abuse causing serious bodily injury following an incident on South Ruffner Road Monday. Deputies responded to a home and for an infant suffering from cardiac arrest. The baby was transported to Charleston Area Medical Center Women and Children’s Hospital and then transported to Cabell Huntington Hospital, where medical specialists confirmed the baby’s severe injuries were due to shaken baby syndrome.
