Smithers Fire Department Benefits From Stretcher Donation

The Smithers Fire Department received a new piece of equipment earlier this week thanks to a donation from an Ohio nonprofit. Dayton-based Brothers Helping Brothers donated an EMS stretcher to the fire department, according to a news release from the nonprofit. The donation is valued at about $3,000. The stretcher was donated to Brother Helping Brothers by a private ambulance company in Vandalia, Ohio. The organization’s goal is to help provide equipment and training to small and rural firefighters across the country.
