The city of Charleston will be naming a new member to the Kanawha-Charleston Board of Health after one of the board members plans to resign to take an out-of-state job. Board of Health member Danny Scalise informed Arthur Rubin, chair of the Board of Health, in a letter that he was leaving the board effective June 30. A news release from the West Virginia Medical Association said that Scalise, who was the executive director of the state Medical Association, has accepted a job as the health director in Burke County, N.C.
