Rental cars are in short supply right now. WCHS TV said this is due to a combination of factors – the microchip shortage, which has been affecting car production for several months, and a sudden jump in traveling. Renters are feeling the impact in their wallets, with prices double, and in some places triple, what they normally are. Enterprise’s vehicles are all currently more than $100 per day for the Fouth of July weekend. Budget is as well. The higher prices are not expected to stop travelers during the big travel weekend.
