Charleston Mayor Amy Goodwin is submitting an application for a grant to purchase ninety body cameras for the police department. The new cameras will ensure that every officer has a camera, and will no longer have to share. Police Chief Tyke Hunt made the request in a plan of action for training and equipment after an officer-involved shooting in April.
