The Boone County Sheriff’s Office and West Virginia’s state Fire Marshall are investigating Tuesday night’s fire at the Hobet Mine site. There were kids in the old office building before the blaze broke out, but the cause of the fire hasn’t been determined. It’s the second fire at the site in less than a year, and one state lawmaker is calling for the site to be redeveloped.
