Boone County Schools to Require Masks

Boone County schools will require face masks indoors for all teachers, staff and students in grades prekindergarten through 12th grade. The county’s interim superintendent Lisa Beck said masks will be required regardless of vaccination status. County school systems are being allowed to make their own decisions when it comes to face coverings. The West Virginia Department of Education is recommending face coverings, but it is letting county systems make the choice. Classes start in Boone County on Aug. 19.
