Kanawha County is in Gold on the Latest DHHR Map

Forty-five of West Virginia’s 55 counties were out of the green and six were in the red on the latest West Virginia county alert map. The map on Monday showed an increase of six counties in the red since Friday. Wayne, Wyoming, McDowell, Upshur, Wetzel and Marshall were listed in red in the latest map. Cabell County, which had been red in Friday’s map, moved to orange. Ten counties were in gold including Kanawha and Putnam. Shifting colors on the county alert map are key indicators when it comes to showing how coronavirus numbers across the state are spiking. Active cases are at now more than 4,000, and hospitalizations are at 217.
