Lincoln County schools started classes on Wednesday, and its Board of Education released new mask guidelines. Students will be required to wear masks, if Lincoln County is in orange or red on the county alert map. Students had to wear masks on the first day of school because the county was in orange. If the color on the map improves, masks will be recommended but not required. Board members said masks will also be required on buses and will be recommended for spectators at indoor sporting events.
