West Virginia students who don’t meet the 2.0 grade point average will be able to practice with athletic teams and the band and do club activities for the first nine weeks of the fall 2021 semester. The state Board of Education approved the waiver Wednesday during a board meeting to give students a chance to re-establish themselves this school year. Under the limited waiver, all students’ grades will be evaluated after six weeks from the start of school.
