Unvaccinated Individuals Account for 99 Percent of COVID Cases in West Virginia

West Virginia health officials reported 13 COVID-19 deaths and 1,448 positive cases between Wednesday and Thursday. The state Department of Health and Human Resources reported 12,736 active cases yesterday. The vast majority of the cases are in unvaccinated people. The state’s data shows 0.49% of fully vaccinated people in the state have gotten COVID. The data also shows 0.007% of those who are fully vaccinated have died from the virus.
