Students who attend West Virginia Wesleyan College who have not received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine will be expected to pay a fee for the fall semester. According to the college’s COVID-19 fall 2021 plan, all faculty, staff and students were required to submit proof of vaccination status on or before August 8. Those who are vaccinated can return to normal on-campus activity and do not have to wear a mask, according to the college. Students, faculty and staff who are not vaccinated must wear a mask at all times indoors. Students who don’t submit proof of vaccination will be charged a non-refundable COVID fee of $750 for the semester. Students also will be required to partake in weekly COVID testing. The cost of the testing is covered by the $750 fees students pay, according to the college. Unvaccinated faculty and staff will also be required to do weekly testing.
